There are plenty of small modders out there, thats how many of today’s “boutique” giants got their start. You could get an Ultimate Drive or an EHX OD Glove and have them modded by a company that provides that service. You could even build one yourself or ask if anyone here or at r/diypedals would be able to build one for you. It’s up to you to assess the quality before making a decision. I don’t think it’s being made anymore either, but here’s a few more ideas: The boost just affects the output circuitry, it doesn’t add another gain stage or anything. Now the only “boutique” clone I can think of is the first version of the Oddfellow Caveman Overdrive. It is also based on the original VooDoo Labs overdrive, but the additions of the OCD (tone control, mosfet clipping, general component value tweaks) definitely make it stand on its own.
